I didn’t realize you’re moving! This is such a beautiful post and your poem, ahhhh, I love it! Also the photo with the seagulls! There are always so many mixed emotions when closing a chapter and beginning a new one. Now you have more people you’ll get Christmas cards from! Yay! Good luck with your move! ❤️

I love that idea -- more people to get Christmas cards from! :')

Thank you for reading. Yes, we will be back in Utah full-time starting in August!

Beautiful Kimber! I bet it was hard to say good-bye to all of your students, so fortunate to have you as their teacher. You captured it all so well in your poetry. 🩵

That photo of the boy and the birds!! 🥹❤️ What a beautiful poem, Kimber, capturing the bittersweet nature of change. If you haven’t read it yet, you might enjoy “Bittersweet” by Susan Cain. It’s also amazing that you attended Mari Andrew’s writing workshop. Wishing you a smooth transition!

What a beautiful reflection and poem. I am not a teacher, nor am I moving, but May has brought some unexpected endings for me and it was very touching to read your words. Oh, I thought, ~of course~. Like a little sigh of relief. Thank you 💕 It was such a pleasure to meet you at the retreat.

This is my comment #2 - out of order, cuz it's a PS. Meant to comment on the photo of the little boy and the sky full of birds! What a fabulous image of freedom and joy - for all of them! ☼

Oh, how I loved your poem entitled "May." Transitions can be hard - but there are sweet things about saying good-bye, as well as hello Utah (under new circumstances). I loved the two photos that you included, but I am hoping that you took a photo of their "good-byes" to YOU on the board. And I would dearly love to read their tender farewells! ♥ Best wishes on your new journey of "hellos." ♥
